Ecosystem health assessment of streams in the rare Charitable Research Reserve
Chow-Fraser, P. and Fraser, G.E.
Unpublished technical report
March 2016
The primary objective of this study is to assemble biotic and abiotic data to assess the
stream health of several creeks within the rare Charitable Research Reserve and compare
these against the health of Devil’s Creek, an urban creek in the city of Cambridge, Ontario,
that also drains into the Grand River. The creeks in the rare Reserve include Cruickston
Creek and Bauman Creek, and both have sites that vary with respect to exposure to
agriculture and urbanization (eg: farmland, suburban neighbourhoods, major roads etc.).
